Set in a massive 1,141 acres / 461 hectares of land, Alderman's Ford Park is a pleasant green belt area offering a range of activities to visitors. Walking and biking are popular pursuits, as is relaxing with friends and enjoying a pleasant picnic. Set against the Alafia River, the Tampa's Alderman's Ford Park is also popular with canoeists.

Al Lopez Park

Tampa's Al Lopez Park is situated next to the Raymond James Stadium and is a favorite venue for local group athletic events. A path in the park is set aside specifically for dog walkers and their canine pals, while another is designed for joggers and sees plenty of early morning human traffic. With shelters, pavilions, gardens and acres of grassy parkland, Al Lopez is one of Tampa's most visited parks.

Ballast Point Park can be found in south Tampa and is a popular venue for those wanting to escape the busyness of the city. Besides an abundance of trees and some wide open grassland, the park has a quaint wooden pier that extends just less than 1,000 feet / meters out into Old Tampa Bay. Ballast Point Park is a perfect spot to enjoy a picnic and watch the yachts go by.

Morris Bridge Park

Morris Bridge Park is a popular spot for off-road bike enthusiasts, offering a variety of paved, single and double track trails. The park also contains picnic tables and several acres of pleasant grassy parkland dedicated to the pursuit of both relaxation and outdoor activities.
