Tampa International Airport (TPA) Information

(Tampa, Florida - FL, USA)

Tampa Bay is considered by many to be the place where the commercial airline service was established, with flights commencing here as far back as 1914. Soon after, an airfield named the Drew Field was established, which grew to become the Tampa International Airport (TPA) in the early fifties and is currently owned by the Hillsborough County Aviation Authority.

Over the years, the airport has seen enormous growth, with steady expansion and upgrades of passenger facilities, and is today used by roughly 1.5 million passengers every single month. Many major airlines operate here, with the largest number of destinations being offered by the likes of AirTran Airways, American Airlines, Delta Air Lines, JetBlue Airways, Southwest Airlines, Spirit Airlines, United Airlines and US Airways.
