Tampa Art Galleries

(Tampa, Florida - FL, USA)

Art viewing in Tampa is not a pastime favored by the masses. Consequently, fans of art visiting this popular Floridian city have to look a little bit harder to find galleries and art venues in which they can indulge their interests.

The city of Tampa is, however, close to the impressive Salvador Dali Museum, which resides in nearby St. Petersburg and is part of the University of South Florida campus. The centrally located Tampa Museum of Art is also a popular gallery in this part of Florida and filled with fine art from the 20th century. This is displayed in a stunning purpose-built riverside center, which cost more than $30 million to create and opened as recently as early 2010.

If you are a visitor to Tampa, then you should be sure to make time to seek out the smaller city galleries, where some fantastic work by local artists is available for both viewing and purchase.
