Monterrey General Mariano Escobedo International Airport (MTY) Information

(Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, Mexico)

The General Mariano Escobedo International Airport is one of Mexico's most modern air facilities, serving the city of Monterrey and the surrounding region. With more than five million travellers using this complex every year, it ranks as Mexico's fourth-busiest airport.

There are over 300 daily direct flights to roughly 35 cities around Mexico and the United States. Mexico City, Chihuahua, Tijuana and Guadalajara are the main Mexican destinations, while the US cities of Atlanta, Detroit, Las Vegas, Orlando, Dallas and Houston all have regular direct services.

The airport has three terminals (A, B and C), which are equipped with a full array of facilities and services for passengers. Terminal B, which opened in 2010, is one of North America's most modern terminals. A shuttle bus runs continuously between the three terminals.

The new Skybus Express bus service sees modern, air-conditioned buses run straight from the airport to the heart of Monterrey. Taxis and car rentals are the other transport options. Driving here is easy thanks to the wide National Highway 54 that heads directly to Monterrey and intersects with the ring roads that surround the city.
