Whistler Shopping and Districts

(Whistler, British Columbia - BC, Canada)

Village view, showing summer shoppers and touristsWhilst the quality of the shops within Whistler is excellent, the goods do tend to be a little expensive, since you will be expected to pay resort prices. Those shopping for winter sports and ski equipment will find it readily available at various shops around Whistler, such as Showcase Snowboards on the Sundial Crescent, which has been renting snowboards for around 20 years and has more than 300 to choose from.

Those shopping for winter sports gear should also check out the Evolution store on the Village Green, where in the summer, you may like to hire a mountain bike or purchase some camping equipment. For last-minute ski equipment in Whistler, then head to the Rendezvous Lodge on Blackcomb Mountain, where the Mountain Top Shop sells everything from skiing goggle and sunscreen, to gloves and scarves. Plenty of further ski-related shops are to be found around the Blackcomb Mountain lift, being filled with clothing, gifts and equipment rental.

Where to Shop

There really are two main shopping areas within resort itself. The Whistler Marketplace resides within the very heart of Whistler Village, next to Lorimer Road and the Northlands Boulevard.

This busy plaza is home to various fashion boutiques, fast-food restaurants, coffee shops and grocery stores (IGA Plus).

Alternatively, Franz's Trail Shopping Village in the Creekside area, off Lake Placid Road, is worth considering and comes with a large car park, with around 1,000 allocated parking spaces.
