Re. Best Whistler Skiing
I covered quite a lot bro. Hope you also had a go on the golf course or tried some downhill mountain biking. Just curious to know which time of year you visited? Not that important though as you can do most activities whether it's summer or winter!

Best Whistler Skiing
Had never been to Whistler before this recent trip and heard a lot of hype about Whistler Blackcomb, which I can know confirm is the best choice for skiing, snowboarding, hiking, and pretty much everything else you can name that is associated with the outdoors. Have fun trying to cover as many of the 8,000 acres you can and get plenty of photos of the mountains.

Skiing for the kids
I didn't really want our kids mixing with the older more experienced skiers as I thought they might be embarrassed, which is why we tried Whistler Kids. It was unbelievably well-organised and our kids met some great friends from numerous countries that I believe they'll stay in touch with for many years. Now they aren't at all interested in holidays in the sun and want ski breaks only to improve their new skills!

Re. An escape from the skiers and snowboarders
As there is no snowy weather where I'm coming from or much mountains even if there was, I understand you didn't want to do much skiing there too. I think the same and know you mention the mountains as highlights for you. If you too liked the bodies of water though, and for any else tourist did in Whistler, I would like to recommend Lost Lake and River of Golden Dreams.

An escape from the skiers and snowboarders
I have nothing at all against skiers or snowboarders but it can be a bit much after a while, which is why I headed off to Garibaldi Provincial Park for an afternoon. Just two miles out of Whistler lead me to an endless choice of hiking trails and bodies of water with Mount Garibaldi and Price Mountain among the highlights for me.
