(Whistler, British Columbia - BC, Canada)

Picture of village restaurant in the summerLike most things in Whistler, dining out at one of the town's many restaurants does tend to be expensive, although you can be assured plenty of choice. Whistler Village and its numerous nearby satellite resorts are teeming with cafes and approximately 100 different restaurants and similar eateries in total.

The dining scene in Whistler is one that regularly changes, with restaurants coming and going at quite a rate, serving everything from West Coast-style cuisine and Italian pasta, to seafood dishes, such as poached lobster and chili mussels.

Where to Eat

Aprés-ski activity is always a popular pastime in Whistler and the various restaurants and bars provide the perfect place to combine socialising with dining out.

A number of popular cafes and charming bistros surround the Village Square, close to the Village Gate Boulevard, the Village Lane, Sundial Place and Blackcomb Way, where the Brewhouse is located and offers hearty pub grub and very reasonable prices.

Ingrid's Village Cafe on the Skier's Approach is especially noteworthy, serves burgers, sandwiches, wraps and daily soups. For skiers just off the slopes, the Garibaldi Lift Co. Bar and Grill is worth finding and resides next to the Whistler Gondola, at the very base of the mountain, offering terrace and patio dining with superb views, along with regular live music.
