Whistler Events and Festivals
(Whistler, British Columbia - BC, Canada)
No events or celebrations here are likely to ever come any bigger than the
Whistler 2010 Winter Olympics, although the choice of annual festivals on offer really is quite excellent. Some of the biggest things to do include the TELUS World Ski and Snowboard Festival each April, and the WinterPride Whistler, which has become the largest gay ski event of its kind currently staged in
Canada.
Each summer, the Whistler Theatre Project plays host to a number of shows and events, ranging from classical music concerts to traditional theatrical performances, all of which take place outside, beneath the stars and mountains. At the end of November and beginning of September, the Whistler Film Festival is one to look out for and is attended by many top directors from all around North America
