Shopping at the West Edmonton Mall
I was amazed to hear that the West Edmonton Mall is the world's biggest shopping mall. Everything is here. Apart from a lot of shops and cafes, you can even go to a beach, theme park, go swimming or play miniature golf. There are over 800 shops here, so you could always just go shopping I suppose! It is open Monday through Sunday. World Waterpark has just opened here.

Edmonton and the Royal Alberta Museum
When we were here, we thought we go to the Royal Alberta Museum (formerly the Provincial Museum of Alberta), next to the Government House. We had a really good time and were here for hours. There were galleries, diaormas, bugs, fossils and even a movie theater. Outside, the gardens were lovely and people often have their wedding snaps taken in the grounds. The Royal Alberta Museum is on the western side of Edmonton.

Green Space at Hawrelak Park
Hawrelak Park is near to the centre of Edmonton and is a fabulous park, with cycling trails, pathways and lots of picnicking opprtunities. In the very middle of Hawrelak Park is a large lake, with pedaloes and nearby snack shops. There are loads of summer festivals here, and in the winter, I am told that people even go ice skating on the lake. I'd definitely like to see that!
