The Edmonton Art Gallery contains a large collection of fine arts, numbering over 5,000 works. Alternated regularly, the gallery usually displays up to 200 paintings at any one time, together with temporary art exhibitions. Guided tours of the exhibits are available.

The Royal Alberta Museum, also known locally as the Provincial Museum of Alberta, is simply enormous. Home to a wealth of historical information about Edmonton, together with natural history exhibits and art works, the museum also features a popular shop, a café and extensive conference facilities. The Royal Alberta Museum is located in Edmonton's downtown district and is worthy of a visit.

Alberta Aviation Museum

Situated on the northern side of Edmonton, close to the City Center Airport, the Alberta Aviation Museum houses an impressive collection of restored aircraft, including a Fairchild 71C amongst others. Also of interest at the museum is a number of aviation exhibits, model planes, plane engines and a library. Guided tours are available and several aircraft are often in the process of being restored.

Museum of Zoology

Part of the vast University of Alberta complex, Edmonton's Museum of Zoology features more than 35,000 zoological specimens, together with a comprehensive library area. Full of educational information about fish, birds, mammals and more, the Museum of Zoology is also an important center for research.

Fort Edmonton Park

Situated in the scenic River Valley area, Fort Edmonton Park is a popular living museum, where many aspects of 19th-century city life is recreated. With four distinct time zones reconstructed, the Fort Edmonton Park also hosts many seasonal events and activities.
