San Sebastian's Aquarium complex is one of the city's most popular tourist attractions and is popular with all ages. With an enormous whale skeleton, an underwater tunnel, large and colourful marine fish, educational information and a café, the Palacio del Mar dates back to the 1920s and was recently modernised.

Funicular Railway (Funicular de Igeldo)

Located on the side of a steep cliff face, San Sebastian's Funicular Railway consists of two carriages which transport passenger both up and down at the same time. Travelling the short distance of around 300 metres / 985 feet, the Funicular de Igeldo connects Ondarreta Beach at the bottom, with the popular Monte Igeldo Amusement Park at the top, offering spectacular coastal views of La Concha Bay along the way.

Monte Igeldo Amusement Park (Parque de Atracciones del Monte Igeldo)

Dating back to the early 20th century, Monte Igeldo Amusement Park, known locally as the Parque de Atracciones del Monte Igeldo, has long been a major attraction in this part of San Sebastian. With fast rides, exciting roller coasters and plenty of family fun, the Monte Igeldo Amusement Park also features refreshments, restaurants, cafés, gift shops and many traditional fairground attractions.

With contemporary, angular architecture, two large concert halls and plenty of exhibition space, the Kursaal Conference Centre was built at the end of the 20th century. Other attractions include a number of shops, a coffee shop, a restaurant, meeting rooms, beach views and many seasonal festivals, concerts, operas, theatrical performances, comedy events and themed exhibitions.

Constitución Square (Plaza de la Constitución)

One of the most important and impressive squares in the whole of San Sebastian, the Plaza de la Constitución is almost 200 years old and features much of its original Neo-classical architecture. Home to the old town hall (Ayuntamiento) - which is now the Municipal Library, the plaza has been used for many popular events over the years and is full of balconies, offering excellent views of the action.

Buen Pastor Square (Plaza del Buen Pastor)

San Sebastian Theatre (Teatro Principal)

Hosting many shows, events, films and concerts year round, San Sebastian's Teatro Principal dates back to the 1930s and seats around 500 people. Based in the Historic Quarter, the theatre is close to a number of shops, bars and restaurants, and hosts several popular festivals, including the annual San Sebastian Film Festival each October.
