Paseo Maritimo de Torre del Mar / Seafront Promenade

The Seafront Promenade in Torremolinos stretches between the areas of Playamar and La Carihuela, right up to Benalmadena Marina, offering spectacular coastal views along the way. The promenade is lined with many attractions, including bars and restaurants, together with hotels and nearby sandy beaches.

Nightlife

Much of Torremolinos comes alive at night time, with large crowds descending on the centre of the resort to soak up the party atmosphere. Nightlife in Torremolinos is extremely varied, offering something for everyone, ranging from restaurants, tavernas and bars in Calle San Miguel, to some of the largest nightclubs in Europe, such as 'Pipers' and 'Fun Beach', which are located along the Avenida Palma de Mallorca and open at around 22:00. Other popular nightclub attractions in central Torremolinos include nearby Atrevete, Palladium and Voltage, which all offer large dance floors and discos. Also worth a visit, the Taberna Pepe López features traditional Flamenco dancing, while the large Principe de Asturias auditorium, along the Calle Pedro Navarro Bruno, offers a range of seasonal events and concerts. Further night clubs can be found in nearby Benalmadena, close to the marina. Gay clubs in Torremolinos are centred around the La Nogalera area, with attractions often including exotic dancing.

One of the largest and oldest theme parks in the whole of the Costa del Sol, Tivoli World is home to around 35 different fast rides with many thrilling, state-of-the-art roller coasters, such as the Twister and the Dragon. Other attractions at this vast park include a popular ghost train, impressive gardens, fountains, a 'Pirate Park' play area for young children, three theatres, restaurants, cafés and gift shops. Tivoli World stands on the outskirts of Torremolinos, in nearby Arroyo de Miel.

Aqualand

Situated to the north of the resort's Calle San Miguel area, Aqualand is one of the main family attractions in Torremolinos, appealing to all ages. This popular waterpark features a number of fast rides and water slides, a wave pool and lagoon, a shallow pool for young children, a lazy river and an array of cafés and restaurants. Aqualand also offers sea lion shows, miniature golf, gift shops and spacious gardens.

Sea Life Centre

Full of aquariums and marine life exhibits, the Torremolinos Sea Life Centre contains many large, colourful fish, sharks, giant moray eels, sea turtles, sea horses and rays, with more than 5,000 sea creatures from oceans all over the world. One of the main attractions for children is the 'touch pool' area, where starfish and other marine creatures can be handled. The Sea Life Centre also features a popular underwater glass tunnel, over thirty large tanks, exhibitions and demonstrations, jelly fish, octopuses and a prehistoric species of crab. The Sea Life Centre can be found near to Benalmadena Port, with a range of cafés and bars close by.

Situated in the centre of the main waterfront promenade, Benalmadena Marina stands next to the Torremolinos area and is popular with tourists. The nearby Racetrack Costa del Sol offers races and betting both day and night, attracting many experienced jockeys. The Escuela de Arte Ecuestre Costa del Sol features exciting weekly shows, with seating areas and an 'equestrian ballet', together with a school area offer inexpensive lessons and pony trekking.

Selwo Marina

Crocodile Park

Another major family attraction in Torremolinos, Crocodile Park contains more than 300 crocodiles, including many giant specimens and a number of different species from around the world. Crocodile Park is also home to a nursery and breeding area, where young crocodiles can be held and touched. Covering around 50 acres / 20 hectares, the park contains a crocodile museum, a small zoo, a playground area for children, and an African gift shop.
