Glasgow ShoppingAs the United Kingdom's second-largest retail shopping centre, Glasgow has many hundreds of independently owned stores selling all kinds of Scottish goodies. Familiar high-street names are also to hand and include the likes of Debenhams, House of Fraser, John Lewis, Marks & Spencer, Matalan, Primark and TK Maxx, amongst many others.

Glasgow really does offer a world-class shopping experience and attracts many upmarket names, such as Gianni Versace, who located his first British store in the city's Italian Centre. Other major areas here include Buchanan Street, Ingram Street, King Street, Bath Street, John Street and along the Dowanside Lane area.


Opening Hours

Most shops in Glasgow open seven days a week, throughout the year, opening around 09:00 until 17:30 or later. On Sunday, shopping hours are generally shorter than the rest of the week.
