Milan Hotels and Accommodation

(Milan, Lombardy, Italy)

Milan Hotels and AccommodationA city known for its business and finance, hotels in Milan are certainly geared up for business travellers, with accommodation being amongst the most expensive in the whole of Italy. Milan is also a very busy city and many hotels are actually booked solid all through the year.

For some of the cheapest lodging on offer, look around the area surrounding the Stazione Centrale, and nearby, on both the Piazzale Loreto and the Corso Buenos Aires, where there are plenty of hotels to choose between. However, parts of these areas form Milan's Red Light district, and so if you are prepared to pay a little more for your accommodation, the surroundings will be more appealing.

As you move towards central Milan, lodging prices do begin to understandably increase, although there are a number of really quite reasonably priced hotels tucked down some of the side streets. Close to the magnificent cathedral, the Piazza Veccaria is where you will find the Hotel Nuovo, which is amongst the few budget options in this part of Milan and is conveniently right next to the Piazza del Duomo.

Nearby, the Piazza Santa Maria Beltrade is home to the Hotel Vecchia Milano, with further accommodation lying off the adjoining Via Torino and along the neighbouring Via Nerino and Via San Maurilio. Within easy commuting distance of Milan, hotels are considerably cheaper outside of the city in surrounding Lombardy, in nearby Bergamo, Como and Cremona.
