General Information

There really are two exceptional art galleries in Paris that art lovers from Versailles really must not miss. The first of these is the Musée du Louvre, on the Cours Napoléon. A classical building, the museum is easily to spot, since a giant glass pyramid marks the entrance. Inside you will find everything from the Venus de Milo, to the almost priceless Mona Lisa, which was painted by Leonardo da Vinci more than 500 years ago.

The Musée d'Orsay is another of the many art galleries in Paris and resides on the Rue de Bellechasse, being home to a wealth of impressionist paintings. Other noteworthy art galleries in Paris and just a stone's throw from Versailles include the Musée de l'Orangerie and the Musée Picasso, which is devoted to the life and works of Pablo Picasso.
