Re. Can see why Paris tourists flock to it
Yes, please do check. In general, it is open from Tuesday to Sunday but also on our national French holidays. The park and its gardens can be open for public every day, however.

Can see why Paris tourists flock to it
I'm not sure what I can say about the Chateau Versailles to do it justice but it is attractions like this stunning castle that were the exact reason I visited Europe in the first place and will be back in the winter. Please check the opening hours though, as I believe it is shut at the start of the week and some other days.

Tram from Grand Canal
Those who don't wish to walk to the Trainons and Hamlets can take a tram from Grand Canal for around four euros. It will take no time at all!

In the shadow of the chateau but still worthy of a visit
I feel sorry for the Trianons and Hamlets as they must always be living in the shadow of the large chateau that most people visit Versailles for. Even if the chateau wasn't there though, people would still flock to this area for enjoying this attraction. We wandered around the gardens they had here for many hours. Full of history, can be hard going if you're going to walk there though.

Looked like nothing special from afar but we were mistaken
I must say that the Temple of Love looked like it wasn't up to much as we looked at it from a distance but we were quite mistaken as, once we arrived, we found a lovely building and gardens. Easier to find than most Versailles attractions.
