Seasonal Climate Variations / When to Go

January and February are the quietest months in Turku, when the weather can become quite harsh. Daytime temperatures stay just below freezing, dropping to -10°C / 14°F on the coldest nights.

However, come March, the Turku climate soon begins to show signs of improvement and towards the end of the month, the night-time frosty weather quickly becomes a thing of the past and daytime temperatures soon rise above 5°C / 41°F.

However, although May enjoys highs of around 12°C / 54°F or 13°C / 55°F, the nights can still feel a little chilly and even occasional snow flurries are not to be discounted completely.
