Where to Stay

One of the most popular hotels in central Coventry is currently the Ramada, which boasts Art Deco style architecture and outstanding views of the cityscape, with 17 floors towering high above nearby buildings. The Ramada Hotel can be found at The Butts, in the Earlsdon area of Coventry, and contains over 150 guest rooms and luxury suites, together with a secure car park, plasma televisions in each room, five meeting rooms and a popular restaurant, known simply as 'Fellini's'.

The Coventry Britannia Hotel is equally impressive and lies in the very heart of the city, along Fairfax Street, close to the Millennium Place and Priory Gardens. Accommodation here comes in the form of 205 en-suite rooms, with excellent modern amenities, including trouser press, television, hairdryer, and tea and coffee making facilities. The Britannia is also home to a notable restaurant and additional cafe bar.

View of shopping centreThere are numerous B&Bs and guesthouses peppered around the Coventry area and many of these are concentrated around Park Road and nearby St. Patrick's Road, both of which are fairly close to the ring road. Further hotels are located along Brinklow Road, Friars Road, Mile Lane and at Broadgate, amongst other locations. Whilst Coventry does not contain a hostel, budget accommodation is available during the summer holidays at the Priory Halls of Residence along Priory Street.

Nearby Stratford upon Avon tends to offer the best value for money accommodation and is located to the south-west of Coventry, being reached in less than 30 minutes by either car or bus. B&Bs in Stratford are noticeably clustered along Alcester Road, Broad Walk, Grove Road and around Evesham Place.
