Those looking for a traditional Cornish pasty won't be disappointed when walking around central Newquay. There are plenty of excellent local bakeries strewn around the town, including the highly regarded Pasty Parlour along the Crescent, just off the Beach Road in the heart of Newquay town centre.

Bakeries remain open all through the day and offer much more than just Cornish pasties, with sandwiches, baguettes, pizza slices and cakes all readily available. Various fast-food restaurants in Newquay are also open all through the day, often opening their doors as early at 07:00 for breakfast, with popular outlets along the Station Approach, Bank Street and Treloggan Road.

East Street contains one of the largest selections of dining venues in Newquay, located between Bank Street and Cliff Street.

Many tourists staying in Newquay choose to venture further afield for their meal, with the acclaimed Seafood Restaurant at nearby Padstow lying around 25 minutes to the north-east. Owned by famous chef Rick Stein, this harbourside venue has become so popular that it often needs to be booked many weeks in advance.
