Also within Odense you will be pleased to find the Rosengaardcentret, the biggest shopping centre in the whole of Denmark just 4 km / 2.5 miles outside of the actual city centre, on the Orbaekvej. Here you will discover almost 150 different shops are all gathered beneath one single roof.

Much of the main shopping in central Odense can be found based around the Vestergade, off the Vesterbro, and the neighbouring Kongensgade. Look also along the streets of the Nedergade and the Overgade, located on the eastern end of the Vestergade

Where to Shop

With more than 3 km / 2 miles of pedestrianised shopping streets in Odense, centred around the Vestergade, it is not difficult to find what you are looking for. There are usually plenty of free parking spaces to be found around the city centre, allowing you to shop in this area with relative ease.

Start your shopping trip at the famous Magasin department store, which lies on the Vestergade and is the biggest of its kind in Odense, selling everything from groceries to fashion accessories. Close by, the Superbrugsen supermarket may also be of interest, whilst antiques lovers in Odense should consider shopping along the Nedergade, where the Kramboden store offers some quality souvenirs, such as pewter and glassware. During the summer months, don't forget to check out the regular markets outside of the Town Hall (Radhuset) and the Concert Hall.
