Photo of al freco dining facilitiesMany visitors to Odense choose to eat their breakfast at hotel restaurants, enjoy a lunchtime snack at one of the countless fast-food outlets and inexpensive bakeries around the city, and relax in the evening to savour a serious meal of Danish cuisine. Most restaurants in Odense come alive any time after 17:00 and soon begin to fill up.

Dining out in the summer months is especially enjoyable in Odense, since many restaurants based around public squares and next to wide pavements choose to move some of their tables outside, creating quite an inviting atmosphere, particularly as the night draws in.
