(Ayia Napa, Famagusta, Cyprus)

Image of modern sculpture at Cape GrecoHoliday makers certainly don't come to Ayia Napa for its art galleries, and it is without question the beaches and lively nightspots that draw the biggest crowds.

However, close by, there are a handful of interesting and appealing art galleries that you may well like to consider visiting, particularly those within Avgorou and Paralimni.

In particular, the Pierides Foundation Avgorou Folk Art Museum is a magnet for sightseers from Ayia Napa, who come here to learn more about the cultural heritage of western Cyprus and its relationship with not only the rest of the island, but also with the surrounding Greek islands.
