A sight to behold during spring and summer, this colorful oasis on the northern edge of Uptown Charlotte is home to over 500 rose bushes along with a selection of herbs, annuals and perennials. The McGill Rose Garden is host to regular workshops.

Consisting of around 100 acres / 40 hectares of landscaped gardens, the Daniel Stowe Botanical Gardens boast an impressive selection of styles. Attractions include a Cottage Garden that is home to several rare plants, and the Canal Garden, featuring a constantly changing line up of annuals and perennials.

Wing Haven Gardens and Bird Sanctuary

This is one of Charlotte's most treasured attractions, featuring three acres of gardens in the middle of the city. Established in 1927 by Edwin and Elizabeth Clarkson, the latter who was known fondly as the 'bird lady', this series of distinct gardens includes a herb and a rose garden, which attract a huge number of birds, especially during the spring.
