Trenton Art Galleries

(Trenton, New Jersey - NJ, USA)

For fine art in the city of Trenton, there are several quality galleries spread around the city. Most will agree that the New Jersey State Museum makes for a good first port of call, with its Bureau of Fine Art maintaining an enormous collection of over 12,500 paintings, sculptures, photos and prints, dating from the 18th century onwards and including a number of pieces created by acclaimed New Jersey artists.

Opened in 1986 and standing on South Broad Street, Artifacts is more than just a gallery offering a custom framing service and boasts an eclectic mixture of art, local history and vintage items.

Also to be found within Trenton is Artworks, a relatively central gallery lying close to Mill Hill Park and founded in the early 1960s. Downtown Artworks is a leading visual arts center, which works to promote and encourage diversity in the world of art. Just a short drive from the city center, both the TCNJ Art Gallery in the neighboring Ewing Township and Grounds for Sculpture at Hamilton are worthy distractions for art enthusiasts prepared to head outside of downtown Trenton.
