Jacksonville is not quite worthy of the accolade of being called a shopper's Shangri-La, although the city does offer visitors an interesting selection of shopping venues. Regency Square Mall in Jacksonville provides the typical big retail experience for those fond of large department stores and popular chain retailers.

Visitors looking for somewhere a little more offbeat can head for the chic and bohemian Five Points district, where independent retailers purvey a wide selection of new and used wares.

Opening Hours

Shops follow regular opening hours shared by other big cities in the US, with trading starting at 10:00 and finishing at around 20:00 or 21:00 from Monday to Saturday. Sunday opening hours in Jacksonville are more restricted, with most shops opening around 12:00 and closing around 16:00. There are exceptions to these hours and visitors are advised to call ahead to check.
