Daytona Beach International Airport is one of Florida's smaller gateways, although it is still something of a busy travel center catering for both domestic and international flights at two terminals with areas of 60,000 and 160,000 square feet respectively.

Car Rental

All big name auto rental companies offer vehicles at the airport as well as at centers in the city. Two major interstates converge at Daytona, I-95, which runs north to south and I-4, which comes in from the west. Driving in Daytona Beach is considered to be a relatively stress-free affair and a convenient way to travel around the area.

Buses and Coaches

The omnipresent Greyhound Lines operates services which regularly travel to and from the city, with a centrally-located terminal situated just off highway 1.

Trains

Amtrak runs train services to and from the nearby city of Deland. The station offers the Silver Line and Sunset routes, which travel north to south and east to west respectively.

Trams

There are a number of tram services which travel between Daytona Beach and its parking lots, although there are no actual tram services which operate across the city.

Taxis

Daytona Beach city features a variety of taxi companies offering services. However, visitors are warned that most taxis will not pick up passengers who attempt to hail them in the street. Taxi travel in Daytona Beach is normally by telephone reservation only.
