Daytona Beach Museums

(Daytona Beach, Florida - FL, USA)

Daytona Beach contains only a handful of museums, which are often very popular attractions in their own right. Generally speaking, visitors to Daytona Beach don't come to the city in search of history, culture or heritage museums, and are drawn more by the miles of sandy beaches and the thrill of the speedway.

Located on South Beach Street, the Halifax Historical Museum is a particular highlight and occupies the former Merchants Bank building, which dates back to 1910 and is now listed on the US National Register of Historic Places. Other cultural attractions in Daytona Beach include the Ponce Inlet Lighthouse and its historic displays, and the Klassix Auto Attraction, where racing memorabilia abounds.
