The art scene in Daytona Beach is a fairly conservative affair, with only a few significant art galleries worthy of mention. Visitors inclined to do a little searching will find some fringe and underground art galleries and exhibitions within the city, while the Daytona Beach Convention and Visitors Center is able to assist in helping you locate smaller art galleries and art-related events.

Visitors will also find a number of art museums and galleries close to Daytona Beach, in nearby destinations such as DeLand, New Smyrna Beach and Ormond Beach, all of which are within easy driving distance. The African American and Caribbean American Museum of Art at DeLand is especially notable, as is the Fred Dana Marsh Museum at Ormond Beach.

Within easy driving distance of Daytona Beach, the African American and Caribbean American Museum of Art is located within the neighboring city of DeLand, some 26 miles / 42 km to the southwest, and is well worth the journey for its amazing collection of African American and Caribbean American art. Hosting up to six rotating art exhibitions, the gallery is one of the few museums in Florida showcasing such a unique and diverse set of art works.

Located just outside of Daytona in the New Smyrna Beach area, the Atlantic Center for the Arts features the works of outstanding local artists in a series of exhibitions held throughout the year. The nearby Mark and Margery Pabst Visitor Center and Gallery may also be of interest and stands on Frank Hubbard Drive, where it enjoys strong connections with the Atlantic Center for the Arts.

The Fred Dana Marsh Museum is close to Daytona, residing within Tomoka State Park, in the Ormond Beach area and less than 10 miles / 16 km to the north. The Harvey West Lee Jr. Memorial Gallery is part of the Mary McLeod Bethune Fine Arts Center and is home to many art works produced by artists from Southeast and Central Florida regions, as well as from the city itself. Standing near to the West International Speedway Boulevard and the Carl S. Swisher Library, the Harvey West Lee Jr. Memorial Gallery is just minutes from downtown and a few blocks from the Cypress Park.
