Daytona Beach Hotels and Accommodation

(Daytona Beach, Florida - FL, USA)

There really is a wealth of cheap and reasonably priced accommodation to be found all around Daytona Beach. However, do be aware that during the busiest times, hotels in Daytona Beach are known to raise their prices somewhat, such as during the hectic Spring Break, when lodging rates really do soar.

The summer holidays (high season), Bike Week and the racing season are also very busy times in Daytona Beach, when the best-placed accommodation takes full advantage of increased demand for lodging and inflates prices accordingly. Even during peak times, outlying budget hotels remain competitively priced and although they are rather away from the beachfront, are easy to reach if you have your own set of wheels.

Where to Stay

The neighboring cities of both New Smyrna Beach (south) and Ormond Beach (north) are just a short drive away and offer a further choice of hotels, suiting those prepared for a commute. Located just a short distance to the southeast, the suburb known as Daytona Beach Shores also comes with additional chain accommodation, being mainly based along the South Atlantic Avenue.

There are also some hotels sited particularly nearby the Daytona Beach International Airport (DAB), which is just 4 miles / 6.5 km from the city. Accommodation close by includes the Hilton Garden Inn on Midway Avenue and the Hampton Inn on the West International Speedway Boulevard, which is especially close to the famous Daytona International Speedway.

Also just a matter of minutes from the Speedway are the hotels lining the Bill France Boulevard, such as the Extended Stay and the Homewood Suites by Hilton. Actually just a stroll away from the Daytona International Speedway and understandably very popular when a race is taking place is the Holiday Inn Express Hotel on the International Speedway Boulevard, which is also well-placed for access to the USA Florida Tennis Center on Deuce Court.

Luxury hotels in Daytona Beach tend to make the most of the coastline, standing next to the beachfront itself. Rather pricey and opulent is the four-star Shores Resort and Spa on the South Atlantic Avenue, which serves as the premier resort in the city and is sited on a barrier island fronting the ocean. On the North Atlantic Avenue, the recently renovated Plaza Resort and Spa offers affordable four-star accommodation with enviable ocean panoramas, together with an open-air swimming pool deck and oceanfront dining. Close by and considerably cheaper is the three-star Daytona Beach Regency Resort, which may lack the opulence, but still has the views and location.
