With an abundance of snowy weather and a crisp winter climate, skiers arrive in the droves at this time of the year around Lake Louise. Skiing has become a definite mainstay of the Lake Louise and the Canadian Rocky Mountains (Canadian Rockies) are filled with quality mountain ski resorts during the snow-filled winter months, although if you visit during this season, be prepared for some very chilly temperatures.

From April onwards, the climate around Lake Louise begins to change dramatically and temperatures are soon rising, marking the imminent end of the ever-popular skiing season. April sees daytime temperatures reaching

If winter sports are not your thing, the summer in the time to pay a visit the Lake Louise, with the warmest climate falling anytime between June and September. However, scorching weather is not commonplace, with temperatures rarely rising much above 21°C / 70°F or 22°C / 72°F, fluctuating wildly in just a matter of days.

Low humidity in the summer months make this a very pleasant time to stay at Lake Louise, although when packing, a mixture of clothing is sensible, and at the very least, a warm jacket will be necessary, for the colder days and evenings. Alternatively, consider visiting in autumn, when the area becomes noticeably more quiet, the climate is still relatively favourable, and the lake soon starts reflecting some rather magical fall colours.
