A pleasant plaza
The Praca da Liberdade was recommended to us by a couple we know that had visited Belo Horizonte before. We specifically went in the afternoon for some jazz and weren't disappointed. A great landmark and or point of interest.

Re. A must for architecture buffs
Hello, did you see the Niemeyer building too? It is not too far from the Igreja Sao Francisco de Assis actually. It is regarded as the architect's best work! I'm sure you did go there...

A must for architecture buffs
I'm not scared to admit that the Irena Sao Francisco de Assis was at the top of the list of attractions I wished to visit in Belo Horizonte. The views at night were sublime but fans of architecture will love this for being a perfect and iconic Niemeyer design above all.

Re. Mystifying
Dear Mrs Mildred Crane, I'm coming from Belo Horizonte. The caves is opening times at 8am - 5pm everyday, except for religious holiday or Brazilian public holiday. Also, there is Lapinha Cave too if you wish to try different next time!

Mystifying
We headed to the Rei do Mato caverns and caves about midway through our Brazilian holiday and would recommend them as a good day out for all. The only gripe I would have is that it was incredibly difficult to find out the opening times without the help of a taxi driver / Portuguese speaker.
