Marmaris Weather, When to Go and Climate Information

Picture of nearby IcmelerWith its typical Mediterranean climate, Marmaris boasts hot temperatures and little rain, making it very popular with sun-seekers. The city has some of the best weather in all of Turkey and remains pleasant right up to October, shoulder season time.

In fact, Marmaris gets a little too hot in the peak season of July and August, and is best visited either side to both avoid the crowds and the worst of the heat. The winter climate is still warm in Marmaris, although there is a definite possibility of rainy weather, and many hotels and attractions in the city choose to close up shop at this quiet time of the year.

Seasonal Climate Variations / When to Go

It remains warm all year in Marmaris and there are distinct seasonal variations, the main one being at the height of winter with much- increased rainfall. This is low season, while the shoulder seasons of spring and autumn (May to early June, September and October) are warm and pleasant.

Be aware that temperatures in the height of the summer climate reach the mid-40°Cs, being accompanied by little or no cloud cover. Rain is also unlikely at this time, although it does get quite humid, making nights stuffy when there is no sea breeze.
