Marmaris has a decent choice of accommodation, ranging from cheap self-catering places to upscale all-inclusive hotels. There are also B&Bs and so-called aparthotels, although the latter tend to vary widely on standards and service. Always check lodging online before booking.

The centre, waterfront and marina are the choice areas to stay in Marmaris, or you could forego the city altogether and stay down in Icmeler. Wherever you choose to base yourself, be sure to book ahead in the May to September tourist season. Better deals can generally be had when booking Marmaris hotels online.

Where to Stay

Central Marmaris has a large range of hotels, although this area tends to get quite noisy at night and is not the best for families, although the larger hotel chains may be suitable.

Quieter accommodation can be found further from the beach, within the adjoining suburb of Armutalan, where music is banned after midnight and lodging rates are cheaper.


Swankier options can be found down at the waterfront and especially around the harbour and marina. Popular Marmaris hotels include the Golden Key Hisaronu, Hotel Almena, and Maritim Hotel Grand Azur.

Close to Marmaris, the nearby resort of Icmeler also has some good accommodation options. This quieter resort is just around the bay to the south and you can easily spot it, and even walk down to it along the promenade. You can also reach Icmeler by water taxi or by bus.
