Lloret de Mar's seafront and city centre is a forest of high-rise hotels and similar accommodation catering almost exclusively for British, German, Italian, French, Dutch and Polish package tourists. Lodging options vary from respectable to basic, and hotel locations may be next to busy roads or all-night discos. Being able to sleep after 08:00 in Lloret de Mar can be something of a luxury, due to noise pollution!

Also available are self-catering apartments and aparthotels, many with swimming pools, bars and eateries. For families, rental apartments or villas sleeping up to eight persons can be found in quieter areas away from the massive developments, and may be more suitable, if more expensive. Much of the accommodation in Lloret de Mar is aimed at budget travellers, although there are a few four and five star spa hotels.

Where to Stay

Most budget accommodation is located along the beach and in the centre. On the outer edges of Lloret de Mar are more expensive lodging options, such as the Santa Marta Hotel, set in its own grounds with good sea views and beach access. For comparative luxury, the five-star Gran Hotel Guitart Monterrey has spa facilities, attractive rooms, and a large pool and golf course in 50,000 square metres / 538,200 square feet of parkland close to the beach. Set in one of Lloret's residential areas is the four-star Hotel Roger de Flor Palace, an attractive building with a pool overlooking the sea and mountain or sea views from all rooms.

City centre hotels are for those looking to enjoy all-night revels, with the Top Gran Casino Royal Hotel coming highly recommended and residing just off the main street, in the entertainment heart of Lloret de Mar. Food and drinks are served here until at least midnight and accommodation can be booked on an all-inclusive deal. A quieter option in the residential suburb of Fenals is the Costa Encantada, an apartment complex with full facilities including indoor and outdoor pools, and sports facilities in attractive grounds.
