Sited in Old Town Krakow and within the Jagiellonian University complex, the Krakow Botanical Gardens are brimming with horticultural interest and seasonal planting.

Many family friendly parks are also close to Krakow city centre and offer a plethora of recreational activities. Particularly popular is Decjusza Park, which is home to the magnificent Decjusza Palace. A different kind of park is Wodny, an exceptional water park, which comes complete with swimming pools and fast water slides.


Blonia Green

The surprisingly large meadow-type space of Blonia Green lies just a short tram ride from the Old Town area. This is a peaceful space just off the Ulica Pilsudskiego, where many locals often come for a quick stroll, to walk their dogs and to visit the onsite sports stadiums.

Botanical Gardens

Along the pathways of the Krakow Botanical Gardens you can enjoy a series of attractions, including monuments and water features. However, stargazers will be delighted to find a working observatory onsite, which dominates an area of the garden with its imposing architecture.

Decjusza Park

Centred around a grand and historic palace, Decjusza Park is situated within Old Town Krakow and filled with interest. Although lots of people come here to visit the palace itself and its impressive architecture, the gardens are well worth exploring and contain bags of seasonal colour, and even an amphitheatre, where many events are held each summer.

The extremely popular Wodny Park offers tourists endless fun and a great way to cool down on the hottest of days. With a series of water chutes and an enormous Olympic-size swimming pool, this fun-filled complex also boasts a number of Jacuzzi tubs, shallow pools for paddling, water aerobics, squash courts and a well-equipped gymnasium. This is without doubt one of the best sports attractions within the whole of Poland.
