Paris ShoppingParis is world famous for its endless shopping opportunities and is especially renowned for perfume, cheese, wine, fashion, fine jewellery and antiques. There are also numerous second-hand shops, street markets and book stalls, as well as high-gloss department stores such as Au Printemps and the Galeries Lafayette.

The Avenue Montaigne; the Rue du Faubourg St. Honoré; along the Left Bank in St Germain-des-Prés (in the Marais district) are the leading areas for haute couture. Famous boutiques include designers such as Chanel, Ralph Lauren, Gucci, Valentino, Lanvin, Gian Franco Ferre, Hermes and many more, whilst the world's most elegant jewellers can be found on Place Vendôme and rue de la Paix.

Most of the large department stores are situated on the Right Bank but Le Bon Marche, on the Left Bank, offers the same facilities and is less crowded. There is a park in front where you can relax in very pleasant surroundings after shopping. Its food market is the city's largest and here you will find everything you might need.

Rue Royale, Rue de Rivoli, Place de la Concorde
