Tree-lovers everywhere will enjoy a visit to the Hatanpään Puisto Arboretum, on the southern side of Tampere, while the centrally located Hämeenpuisto Park is extremely family friendly and a popular spot for picnicking.

Kaupin Urheilupuisto Park can be found on the far easterly outskirts of Tampere and is overflowing with recreational activities, including greyhound racing. Seasonal planting at Koskipuisto Park provides plenty of colour during the summer months, while the noisy Tammerkoski rapids link Lake Näsijärvi to Lake Pyhäjärvi.
