Re. The festival
Love the festival too. Maybe you could mention that it isn't held every year though? There won't be one this year because they need to restore the grounds. Should be back in 2013 though, fingers crossed!

The festival
It is fair to argue that the Glastonbury Festival has become more famous than the town it is held in. You need to be here around early June but apply for tickets when they go on sale several months in advance. Even if you've never even heard of the any of the bands playing over the weekend, you are still guaranteed to have a whale of a time with over 100,000 others!

The other main draw
Years before hippies started filling up the fields and the music festival came to the forefront, Glastonbury Tor was the town's main draw. Even now, it is still incredibly popular and worth the effort it takes to walk around as the views on offer are simply amazing. I found it to be serene and majestic at the same time and, should I get the chance to attend the festival one year, I'll definitely make sure I have a bit of time set aside to visit the Tor.

Down to the well
After the Tor, Chalice Well was the next attraction on my Glastonbury itinerary. Some call it an oasis and I wouldn't disagree with that. One of southern England's most notable points of interest less than a mile from the town centre of Glastonbury.

Lovely food
I'm from the States but had heard a lot about English pubs and the food they serve. I would recommend King William to Glastonbury tourists. I had a lovely roast dinner there that made up for the terrible stuff I was served in London. I think you can stay above the pub too if seeking accommodation.
