There are a number of small fashion boutiques in central Liverpool, selling the latest designer clothes. Some of the best fashion outlets can be found in the Cavern Designer Shopping Centre, Clayton Square and at the trendy Albert Dock complex. In the Southport area, traditional Victorian arcades remain, with spectacular architecture. Also, on the outskirts of the city is the popular Cheshire Oaks attraction, which has become one of the largest designer outlet villages in the county.

Most shops in Liverpool open seven days a week, throughout the year, opening around 09:00 until 17:30 or later. On Sunday, opening hours are predictably shorter than the rest of the week.
