Yes our kids liked the Roman ruins as well and we were able to see them for free too which was a bonus!

Good family stuff
Lincoln offers something for all the family - Lincoln Castle was a particular highlight with our kids and the Roman remains found near the cathedral are both fun and educational.

Fun Boat Trips
Took our family on an organized boat ride along Lincoln's River Witham and Fossdyke Navigation, was great fun. Took a picnic and enjoyed the scenery and pleasant weather. Only £6 each for adults or you can even hire out your own boat for all the family for just £20 per hour!

Re: Stunning Cathedral
You are not wrong there, I have seen most of the cathedrals in the UK and Lincoln's is the best by far! The guides there were particularly helpful in telling you about its history and heritage, who knew that it had featured in the filming of the Da Vinci Code movie! A must see for visitors.

Stunning Cathedral
We were told in advance that the cathedral at Lincoln was one of the UK's best and we were not disappointed it is very unspoiled and bits that have been damaged have been repaired quite perfectly. Only cost five pound to get in as well, great value.
