In fact, most months there are things to do and activities to enjoy both in and around the town of Lyme Regis, with regularly performances at the Marine Theatre, Easter bonnet parades, fun May Day festivities and frequent sailing events.

In the past, the Lyme Regis Fossil Festival has been a real highlight in May, being nicknamed as 'Evolution Rocks' and making the very most of the town's situation on the Jurassic Coast. The Annual Sir George Somers Civic Parade in late May is another celebration to look out for in the spring, along with recitals by the Lyme Regis Operatic Society.
