Hartlepool Events, Things to Do and Festivals 2014 / 2015
(Hartlepool, County Durham, England, UK)
The town's annual events listings has never looked more exciting, with Hartlepool hosting leading festivities such as the Tall Ships' Races of 2010, along with its regular annual Dockfest, Headland Heritage Festival and ever-popular Beer Festival. Many of the yearly things to do in the town take place at the Borough Hall or the Hartlepool Town Hall Theatre, while further events are staged at the Ward Jackson Park, along the coastline of Seaton Carew, or even onboard the
Wingfield Castle paddle steamer.
In recent years, the Tees Valley region has started to gain quite a reputation for its annual celebrations. Always popular are the vintage car rallies, the sailing regattas, the local agricultural shows and the open-air concerts. Events that really stand out here include the Georgian Festival at the beginning of August, which is staged at the
Hartlepool Maritime Experience attraction and celebrates the best aspects of this Regency period, with the Historic Quayside becoming nothing short of a thriving Georgian seaport for the weekend.
