The centrally located Pal Haveli on the Gubar Sagar is particularly charming, as is the rather elegant Newtons Manor Hotel on the Jawahar Colony, in the Ratanada area of Jodhpur. At the top end of the accommodation scale in Jodhpur is the Ajit Bhawan on the Airport Road, and the modern Taj Hari Mahal Palace on the Residency Road. Jodhpur's famous Umaid Bhawan Palace functions as a hotel, and its dramatic red-stone architecture is hard to miss, being topped by a towering cupola.
