El Paso, despite being somewhat out of the way, boasts a good international airport with a range of ground transport, including buses and taxi travel. The city of El Paso is also on Amtrak's east-west route, with several coastal trains a week, traveling in either direction.
Connected to the rest of Texas by a frequent network of Greyhound and Trailways buses, car hire is also popular in El Paso and well catered for by all the major rental companies.

Located just 5 miles / 8 km east of the city center, the airport features fast and frequent shuttle transport to central El Paso, and there are also plenty of taxis available, as well as car rental booths.

Car Rental
All major car rental travel agencies are present in El Paso, with most having booths at El Paso International Airport. Buses and Coaches
Both Greyhound and Trailways operate coach services to El Paso from Texas and other interstate towns and cities. While you are in El Paso, you can get around via the Sun Metro local bus service, which runs a number of regular routes throughout the city.
Trains
El Paso is on Amtrak's East-West line, with services to the east operating on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Saturdays. Trains which travel to the west can be caught on Saturdays, Sundays and Mondays.
Taxis
El Paso has an extensive taxi service, with cabs available around the city at designated taxi stands. All interstate transportation hubs, such as El Paso International Airport, El Paso Station and El Paso Bus Terminal, have numerous taxis on standby for arrivals.
