Denver Hotels and Accommodation

(Denver, Colorado - CO, USA)

There is a huge choice of chain accommodation spread around Denver, with many reliable hotels being based in the downtown district. In general, most of the hotels in Denver fall within the mid-range and luxury categories, and tend to target business travelers, meaning that weekend specials are to be expected, suiting tourists looking to stay in the city on Friday and Saturday nights.

Accommodation can also be found in downtown and the surrounding suburbs, with a choice of lodging being well-placed for accessing the Denver International Airport (DEN), which is only 23 miles / 37 km to the northeast. Particularly close by are the Holiday Inn, the Hampton Inn, the Ramada and the Staybridge Suites hotels, all of which reside on Tower Road and are connected by free shuttle buses. The Homewood Suites Hotel on the Airport Way is also nearby, as is the Microtel Inn on East 63rd Avenue, close to the Pena Boulevard.

Where to Stay

Budget hotels are easy to find in Denver and are particularly concentrated around Colfax Avenue, North Broadway, Preoria Way, Quebec Street and the South Colorado Boulevard. Located on the north-western side of the city and within five minutes of the downtown district is Zuna Street, where popular budget accommodation doesn't come much cheaper than the Knights Inn Gateway and the Ramada Inn.

Reliable mid-range hotels are generally easy to come by in Denver. Good choices are to be found along California Street, Clayton Lane, Lawrence Street, Pennsylvania Street, Wazee Street and the South Colorado Boulevard, the latter of which is where you will find the Courtyard by Marriott, the Fairfield Inn and Suites, the Holiday Inn Select, and La Quinta Inn Cherry Creek.

Much of the luxury accommodation in Denver can be surprisingly affordable, and out of season, quite comparable in price to mid-range hotels. Worth looking out for is the Hyatt Regency on 15th Street, which stands close to the Colorado Convention Center, the Paramount Theater, the Civic Centre Park and the State Capitol Building.

On Grant Street, the Warwick Denver Hotel certainly stands out and is known for its exceptional views of both the skyline and the majestic Rocky Mountains. Close by and to the north, another notable luxury option is the Sheraton Downtown on Court Place, while on Curtis Street, it is the very centrally located five-star Ritz Carlton that somewhat steals the show with its opulent accommodation and proximity to the Larimer Square and 16th Street Mall.
