There are several clusters of restaurants and eateries to be found around central Riverside and its principal attractions. Within the very heart of the city, numerous dining options stand along or next to Central Avenue and intersecting Magnolia Avenue.

Located within the city center and along Central Avenue is the Riverside Plaza shopping and entertainment complex, which is home to a 16-screen Regal Cinema complex and various eateries. Restaurants located around the plaza are extremely popular and easy to reach, with this spot being just off the freeway (US-91).

Top dining venues around the Riverside Plaza include Killarney's Restaurant and Irish Pub (burgers, sandwiches, soups and beer), Lounge Thirty Tree (flatbread pizzas) and Market Broiler (sourdough bread and seafood).

Close by, Marie Callender's on Merrill Avenue is both a restaurant and a bakery, and serves up hearty dishes such as chicken pot pie, traditional shepherd's pie, roast turkey dinners and slow-cooked pot roasts. Marie Callender's is also a good choice for breakfast, being known for its signature 'hashers', three-egg omelettes, old-fashioned French toast, Belgian waffles and towering buttermilk pancake stacks.
