The National Comedy Theater on Longmore Road and the Silver Star Playhouse on East Brown Road may also be staging a production of interest, while families looking for a way to cool down on a scorching afternoon will find that the Golfland Sunsplash Waterpark and amusement center is hard to beat. This spreading theme park opened in the early 1980s, with some huge water slides being added a few years later. Of particular interest to film buffs, the Golfland Sunsplash Waterpark famously made an appearance in the hit 1989 movie, Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure.
