Seasonal Climate Variations / When to Go

Between June and December, low clouds tend to persist and at times, make even the sunniest of weather become rather overcast. The climate experienced in Callao can also be fairly isolated, due to surrounding hills and valleys, and a relatively short drive in any direction can see big differences in terms of sunshine and blue skies.

January, February and March are reliably the warmest months in Callao, when temperatures average around 26°C / 79°F or 27°C / 81°F, and are known to climb to 30°C / 86°F on occasion. When it comes to rain, you certainly won't be needing an umbrella or raincoat, since precipitation levels for the whole year rarely top 1 cm / 0.4 inches in this arid region.
