Hamilton Hotels and Accommodation

(Hamilton, Pembroke, Bermuda)

Picture of the waterfront Fairmont Hamilton Princess, Bermuda Resort HotelBermuda is a well-travelled destination and has a diverse base of hotels and lodging on offer. As the only outright city on the island, Hamilton can be a convenient place to stay. This holds especially true for visitors who value access to facilities over access to remote beaches.

Of note, most of the accommodation in the immediate Hamilton area falls within the middle range, with the resorts being stationed on outlying beaches.

Where to Stay

The high season in Bermuda lasts from April to October, and this is when hotels in Hamilton are likely to book up. Anyone planning a visit at this time will want to reserve accommodation as early as possible, as any last-minute rooms that are available are likely to be priced well above the usual rates.

Guest houses provide some of the least expensive accommodation in Hamilton. These are essentially bed and breakfasts (B&Bs), maintained by private owners and families. The Bay City Guest House is one of the best known. This mansion lies on the opposite side of Hamilton Harbour and offers traditional, spacious rooms.

This is an array of beach bungalows or private villas that are arranged around a central building - usually a clubhouse. Guests can do their socialising and dining on the grounds, or they can play recluse and enjoy a quiet holiday away from Front Street.

One of the finest hotels in Hamilton is the Rosedon Hotel. It is small but charming, and enjoys a premium location in the heart of Hamilton city centre. This was the first home in Bermuda to be lit by gas lamps and has become the premier place to stay for anyone craving colonial grace and top-tier service.
