Where to Stay

Some of the cheapest hotels in Malmo are clustered around the Möllevangstorget and are highly suitable if you are intending to visit this part of Sweden on a budget.

The Möllevangstorget is extremely close to a number of public parks, such as the Malmöparken and the Pidammsparken, and well as the Stadionparken and the Mobilia Shopping Centre.

Just a short walk from the Möllevangstorget, further hotels line the Södra Förstadsgatan, such as the Bosses Gästvaningar Hotel, which enjoys a central location near to the city's hospital.

For those who prefer youth hostels to hotels, Malmo has several worth considering. The Vandrarhemmet Villa Hilleröd is one such hostel and is located on the western side of Malmo, on the Angdalavägen. Only recently opened, the Vandrarhemmet Villa Hilleröd has become known for its homely accommodation.

The STF Vandrarhem Malmo is a large and more impersonal hostel offering extremely cheap lodging, and lies along the Backavägen, around 3 km / 2 miles south of the actual city centre.
